AN ADVENTUROUS SUMMER DRAWS NEAR.
The best way to discover the countryside surrounding the Schwaigerhof is by following the many family-friendly hiking trails – the fairy-tale trails, barefoot trails, lake loops, wellspring treks or water hikes. When little feet don’t want to walk any longer, it’s easy to take a somewhat more varied route right back to the hotel front door, because the popular mountain go-kart is in summer what the toboggan is during winter on the Hochwurzen. It’s often difficult to tell if it’s the little ones or the grown-ups who have the biggest smiles when getting out of the kart. But the zip line on the Stoderzinken and the climbing crag in Ramsau on the Dachstein mountain or in Gröbming ensure delightful kids’ laughter right on your doorstep.
Our youngest guests have had one particularly special hero since 1982. Who could it be? That’s easy: Hopsi, the world championships mascot. He invites young and young-at-heart to visit him high up on the world championships mountain, Planai. Hopsiland is the highest located playground in Styria. There’s even a bike arena in the centre where you can try out your first curves with a mountain bike. Oh yes, speaking of bikes: The Bike School Pekoll provides kids and teens with fabulous days in the bike park Schladming in which you are taught all techniques in a child-friendly, age-appropriate manner. Young mountain bike fans can also demonstrate their skills during the Reiteralm Junior trails.
