If you’re at all interested in climbing, you simply have to visit Schladming. Boasting a total of 30 climbing routes and tours, the Dachstein mountains have something to challenge any climber. The routes cover altitudes of 1,000 to 3,000 metres so they don’t just put your fitness and skills to the test, they also offer breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks. Our tip: be sure to pay a visit to the majestic Dachstein south face!

The Sattelberg is a popular children’s climbing destination located just a 15-minute drive away in Ramsau am Dachstein. It offers climbing routes designed especially for children and beginners and provides lots of fun activities as they discover the world of climbing.

Covering some 50 square metres and extending to a height of 3.25 metres, it provides a varied range of routes for all climbers. Beginners can get their first taste of climbing, and more active and seasoned climbers can train or warm up for a climb on the Dachstein.
