Summer holiday in Schladming

Among the greenery. On a sunny high plateau. In summer, the Schwaigerhof reveals itself from its best side. Firstly, there’s the car-free courtyard with its inviting terrace, where you and your loved ones will find plenty of sunny, and shady, spots to sit. Then there’s our extensive natural garden, featuring a 25 metre outdoor pool, a natural bathing pond and a snack garden as highlights. Although actually, the Schwaigerhof in its entirely is one big highlight in summer.

Out of the hotel and into a world of adventure! Whether you're an adrenaline-junkie or a pleasure-seeker, it's no matter. There are plenty of hiking trails and mountain bike tours for every taste and fitness level head out into the Schladming-Dachstein region from right on our doorstep. And if you're not quite sure which tour is right for you, just ask us. As ever, your hosts have all the best tips. And we will of course be delighted to share them with you.

A holiday at the Schwaigerhof is something very special – especially for children. It’s no wonder, because here and in the region around the Dachstein there are at least 1,000 attractions and excursion destinations waiting to be discovered. Up close and personal with cows in the alpine meadows, cooling the feet in a freezing cold mountain lake, jumping over rocks and logs – the extensive range of family activities in the mountains is sure to keep boredom at bay. Our recommendations: Hopsiland and the Rittisberg holiday paradise. And there's plenty to do at our hotel too – enjoying the fun of our play area, racing on our go-kart track, and visiting the petting zoo.

When the temperatures drop, the leaves change colour and calm slowly returns, it's a sure sign that Autumn is on the way. And while the valley sinks into the mist, we enjoy the fantastic distant view at 1,050 metres above sea level – in the best weather and at pleasant temperatures. Ideal for one last hike before winter takes over from autumn, and the landscape around Schladming and the Dachstein disappears under a glistening blanket of snow.
