To experience the winter landscape in a different way, a hike with snowshoes – also known as snowshoeing – could be the perfect alternative. From the Schwaigerhof you have access to lots of excursion destinations that are well worth visiting in winter. Explore the surrounding area on a walk, or choose one of the easy winter hiking trails that start right on our doorstep. For a special experience, take a cable car ride up one of the mountains, ascending the final stretch to the summit on foot – an ideal opportunity for families to meet up on the mountain and spend time together in one of the huts. And for an extra dose of adventurous fun, there are tobogganing runs with rapid descents down snow-covered slopes.

Shopping in Schladming and Salzburg

Enjoy the sensation of winter tobogganing right on the Schwaigerhof's doorstep. Our local mountain, the Hochwurzen, features a seven kilometre long toboggan run, just a 10 minute walk from the hotel.
